We are pleased to announce that we have selected Zahida Rahemtulla as the playwright to receive continued development of her play, The Wrong Bashir. It was a tough decision since all three MSG plays had merit, but only one could be chosen. Congratulations Zahida!

If you missed the reading the first time, this is what The Wrong Bashir is about:

The Wrong Bashir is a comedic play about an Ismaili family whose son, Bashir, is chosen to be the Students’ Mukhisaheb (religious leader). Problem is… Bashir hasn’t been keeping up with his religious studies. Hijinks ensue and this comedic family tale will surely have you laughing as Zahida creatively weaves wit, family dynamics, and touching moments into her story.
