A co-production with Prairie Theatre Exchange and Soulpepper Theatre Company

vAct is overjoyed to announce that we are partnering with Winnipeg’s Prairie Theatre Exchange and Toronto’s Soulpepper Theatre Company to bring Bad Parent by Ins Choi to the stage in 2022!

This rolling national premiere production will have its West Coast premiere at The Cultch in April 2022.  vAct has been developing this play since 2018, and we can’t wait to share this fabulous new Asian Canadian work with audiences across the country!

About the show: Every parent feels like a bad parent at least some of the time. Just when you think you have a handle on it, everything changes. Norah and Charles are trying to navigate their life as parents of a toddler but are still trying to figure out who they are in relation to their son, to each other, and to the audience. An honest, no-holds-barred portrait of young parents struggling to find their way.
