The vActory Mini-Performance Series is our playground for innovative storytelling and artistic exchange — a space where artists can experiment, take risks, and explore what performance can be. Featuring new works from Khalil Alomar, Helen Jiang, and Erika Mitsuhashi, this year’s vActory is a journey through space, time, and dreams. Khalil Alomar’s Cosmic Drift is a voyage to speculative histories and queer memories at the edges of our solar system. Human Evolution, Told by an Orange is a sensory time machine, in which Helen Jiang will connect us to our primate ancestors. In scintillating glimpses, Erika Mitsuhashi’s Lizard Girl invites audiences into a dreamscape where perceptions shift and morph.
Once again, we have bubble tea provided by the wonderful Annabelle Ching. And who better to guide us through the evening than MC Gracelle Mesina, bringing Tarot divinations, humor, and a little cosmic chaos with excerpts from Major Arcana Comedy.
Join us at What Lab in Industrial East Vancouver for an evening of experimentation, surprises, and works that will transport you through the imaginations of this year’s vActory artists.

ACCESSIBILITY
Sensory Warning: Flashing lights, smell of oranges will be present
What Lab is located at 1814 Pandora Street. There is no dedicated parking, only street parking. The venue is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs, but there is a ground level accessible entrance through the back of the building. If anyone needs to use this entrance, please let us know at info@vact.ca. There is one single-occupancy, gender-inclusive washroom. The washroom is not big enough for larger style wheelchairs to completely turn around in while the door is open.
This in-person event has limited space. Please let us know at info@vact.ca right away if you are no longer able to attend, ideally NOT the day, so we can release your spot to other folks looking to attend vActory.
