Immerse yourself in the tangled web of the Canadian immigration system guided by Mel and Ari, two Indonesians working their asses off for Permanent Residency. Laugh, cry, and scream in anguish in this theatre/stand-up hybrid as Mel and Ari continue to find hope and home even in the bleakest moments.
The Creation Lab is vAct’s annual new work development program. We present three brand new work-in-progress showings over the course of three days.
Facilitating the creation and development of new theatrical work by emerging and mid-career Asian Canadian artists, this program is our commitment to the next generation of Asian Canadian theatre-makers. The vAct Creation Lab showcases stories from Asian Canadian perspectives and develops new works for future production opportunities.
