Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre (vAct) proudly presents vActory, a mini-performance series designed to catalyze innovative creation and foster artistic exchange. Encouraging participants to celebrate the spirit of artistic wanderlust within the format, the vActory series is a new-works incubator for Asian artists to explore performance modalities and experiment with techniques, culminating in a public presentation of three short new works.
What We Offer:
- $3000 presentation fee for a 15-20 minute original performance (to be allocated based on your project’s needs).
- Dramaturgical and Process support from Derek Chan
- Production support from Production Coordinator / Showrunner Caroline Tang
- Collaborative support from resident Production Designer, Christian Ching
- Creative and Tech Residency time through What Lab
- Access to technical equipment through vAct and What Lab
- Technical and Producing support throughout the month-long process
- Marketing and Publicity support through vAct
- Opportunities for community engagement and feedback
